Client Background

A major global collaboration and audio visual technology company with over 3,700 employees, AVI-SPL was utilizing in-house HR staff to respond to requests for verifications of employment and income (VOIEs).

Problem

The response to verification requests took considerable time and staffing resources for the HR and Payroll departments. Following a comprehensive market analysis of VOIE vendors, it was found that most verification providers could not effectively handle the intricacies of their compensation structure and multi-role employees. If they outsourced to these vendors, HR would need to continue manually handling inbound clarification requests from both commercial and government verifiers. Additionally, many vendors would use a file-feed integration, extracting employee data from the HRIS every pay period, whether or not a verification request was made. This method would require ongoing oversight from both HR and IT, since any changes to the compensation structure within the HRIS system could break the file-feed, causing further resource strain.

Solution
